Le Tigre decided to play at the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival, a festival that actively discriminates against the transgendered community (click here for more information). I believe MWMF's policy is discriminatory and should be ended; thus, I disagree with Le Tigre's decision to play there and thus implicitly, if not explicitly, condoning the discriminatory practices.

I will admit, I still listen to Le Tigre and Bikini Kill. While Kathleen Hanna and Le Tigre have made several decisions that I disagree with, I still enjoy their music for what it's worth. I believe there are intelligent political statements contained within many of their songs, if not all of them.

However, I feel that profiling Kathleen Hanna might have people believe that I agree with Le Tigre's decision to play at MWMF. Thus, I have decided to take the page down. Instead, I urge people to learn about the issues and form their own opinion regarding Kathleen Hanna and Le Tigre.

Note: I am very sorry if I offended anyone by having Kathleen Hanna on my website. I truly aim to be sensitive to all peoples and all issues, and am bothered to think that I may have hurt some of my visitors by praising Kathleen Hanna and her bands. If I have offended or hurt anyone, I extend my sincerest apologies.
